Frenger have successfully designed and supplied over 1,100 linear metres of their radiant/convective passive multiservice chilled beams (MSCB´s) to the new HML HQ building, which is a subsidiary of Skipton Building Society and located on the edge of Skipton, the gateway to the Yorkshire Dales.
The new HML HQ has been designed to minimise the impact on the picturesque surroundings and incorporates many energy saving features like our state-of-the-art passive cooling solution to provide optimized comfort levels whilst providing a striking internal aesthetic.
Our MSCB´s were carefully designed to complement the tapered facades of the building and provide a light and airy feel for the building occupants. The MSCB are also linked to the main services in such a way that they appear to float in free space. In addition Frenger also provided a number of their passive chilled beams for integration above a suspended ceiling.
Frenger have again demonstrated the unique benefits of their radiant/convective cooling element in delivering high cooling duties with significantly reduced air velocities when compared to traditional passive chilled beams.
